As audience, you know as much as the characters and it’s always exciting to second guess and wonder what the hell could be wrong.īut the biggest problem with this horror-flick is that it is all kinds of clichés. And the signs are very tell-tale than just illusions. The only novelty here is that director and co-writer Peter Winther jumps into the spooky happenings without wasting much time or build-up. Strange occurrences start taking place, especially with Natalie that quickly start messing with her mind and marriage.Īlmost every Hollywood horror film involving a huge home is bound to put the house at the centre of all evil activities and its occupants, at the receiving end. Unwillingly so, she moves in to patch things up with her almost-estranged husband, but their new home, houses more secrets than they had signed up for. Unmoved by the tragedy and horror stories around haunted homes, Kevin somehow convinces his wife Natalie (Ashley Greene) to put in all their money and buy it. In one of his assignments, he comes across a beautiful villa that has seen massive depreciation due to mysterious deaths of its occupants. REVIEW: Kevin Dadich’s (Shawn Ashmore) work involves deep cleaning of homes that have witnessed gruesome crimes and deaths, leaving behind a trail of blood. They think it will be a good change to rekindle their lost romance but end up paying a much higher price, in kind, when strange occurrences start haunting them. STORY: A young couple, struggling with marital issues, gives in to the temptation of buying an upscale and palatial new house at a throwaway price due to a twin murder in it.
